FLOC Homies Union

The FLOC Homies Union is a social movement that addresses the needs of the Latino community in Toledo through the creation of democratic institution and a unified, collective voice. Everyone between the ages of 14 and 24 is invited to sign up and join the Homies in identifying needs in the community, helping strategize solutions, and carrying out actions to address those needs. All members of the Homies union will have a vote in every decision made by the movement. At this time, the FLOC Homies have identified neighborhood safety and reestablishing a level of trust between the community and law-enforcement officials as their primary causes. If you are interested in joining the FLOC Homies and making your voice heard as we fight to make change, please contact Tiffany Arce-Kidd at tkidd@cmwj.org to find out how to sign up.

FLOCMigos is a group of local youth in Eastern NC that fights for social justice and organizes to improve their community. FLOC trains young people to know their rights and be their own advocates, whether it is standing up for themselves in the fields or starting a campaign to improve their daily lives. Since the inception of the group in August 2015, members traveled to DC to deliver petition signatures to Reynolds American Inc, received training on workplace rights, supported a FLOC youth fundraiser in Ohio, attended HKonJ in Raleigh, and began projects to improve our community. We invite all youth ages 14-25 to join us!

Hear from members of FLOCMigos about their experiences in the fields and why they decided to join FLOC!
